Joke Rush implements a classic concentration game mechanic where players flip face-down cards to reveal hidden items. Each card contains either a strawberry illustration on a white background or a purple faceted gem on an orange background. Your objective is to find and match identical pairs across the grid.
The game tracks two critical performance metrics: move count and elapsed time. Every flip counts as one move, and your goal is to clear the entire grid with the lowest possible move count. Completing levels with fewer moves earns higher star ratings—up to three gold stars per level.
Grid complexity scales as you progress. Early levels present 2x2 grids with four cards, while advanced levels expand to 3x4 grids containing twelve cards. The sequential unlocking system ensures players develop pattern recognition skills before tackling larger memory challenges.
Tap any face-down card to reveal the hidden item underneath. Cards remain visible until you select a second card for comparison. Non-matching pairs flip back automatically.
Match identical strawberries with green leaves on white backgrounds or purple faceted gems on bright orange cards. Visual distinction makes item recognition instant.
Every card flip increments your move counter displayed at screen top. Lower move counts result in higher star ratings when you complete the puzzle grid.
The game records your completion time down to the second. Review both time played and move count on the victory screen after clearing each level.
Levels unlock one at a time as you complete them. Level 1 through 5 must be finished before level 6 becomes available. This prevents overwhelming new players with advanced grids.
Earn up to three gold stars per level based on efficiency. Stars appear on the level selection screen, creating a visual record of your performance across all nine challenges.
